  • September 9, 2007. Rev. Doug Craig In Every No There Is An Opportunity

No Matter what the situation is, that we find our self in, there are always two ways we can deal with it: (1) We can allow the event to discourage us, distract us, and take us into varying states of misery along with allowing our self to experience all kinds of negative emotions, or (2) We can be willing to feel our feelings, seek out the gift in the situation that is there for us, and trust that spirit will guide us and provide for us. All we need to do is choose which path we will embark on and which emotions we will feed.

  • September 16, 2007. Maria Kliavkoff As I give, so I receive

As we give the best of ourselves, so we receive the abundance of the universe. As we accept, acknowledge and express our gratitude for that which we are, so we are free to open to a new level of receiving. It is our values, motives and intentions that make up the essence of who we are. We have only the currency of ourselves to give. As we give of ourselves from our truest place of integrity, so do we receive blessings multiplied and overflowing. The key is to open the flow of who we are and share that gift freely. Join us as we explore the currency of who we are individually, and the flow of giving and receiving in community.

  • October 21, 2007. Rev. Doug Craig. There are no Coincidences

We often view coincidences as chance events and although we marvel at them, we do not seek the Idea behind them. I believe that coincidences are all messages that have been sent to us to guide us on our journey. The messages come in the playing out of life. If we look at coincidences from a deeper perspective, we shall see that behind them there is generally a very meaningful answer, message, or experience that richens our spirit. Let’s look at coincidences in another way from now on and know they are sign posts guiding us to a higher spiritual experience, even though we may not understand them on the physical level.

  • October 28,2007. Rev. Doug Craig. Sometimes Being Rejected Can Be A Good Thing

More often than not, when we are rejected, we take it personally and react to the situation from our inner pain. This is the human part of our experience and it is very valid. However, there can be a higher reason in the experience that we can find if we are willing to look at our environment as our looking glass. See the experience as an effect and be open to seeing and understand the cause behind it. Many times being rejected can be a good thing because it may cause us to take another course of action which can bring us a much greater good. As we begin to “think outside the box” we see much more in every situation in life.

  • November 4, 2007. Rev. Doug Craig Name It, Claim It, Tame It, and Toss It

How do we normally deal with our feelings? First we have a reaction, then, we act out on our feelings by attacking or withdrawing. After that we have to deal with the residual and that generally means dealing with our physical actions. Through awareness we can recognize what’s happening, acknowledge our feelings, be willing to feel our feelings and then express them in a healthy way. By doing this we can prepare and prevent rather than repair and repent. Move into a position of power versus force and open up to the wonderful joy that can be yours when you can move beyond your pain.

  • November 11, 2007. Margot McKinnon Fortune Favors The Brave

  • November 18,2007. Maria Kliavkoff Reaping The Harvest

As I rushed off to work this morning I noticed my herb garden grown to overflowing. I noticed it because of the rain last night, it was the fragrances that made me look. How is it that I took such care in the planting and nurturing of these seeds and now that my toil and love is being rewarded I choose to neglect it? It made me wonder how many seeds do I plant in the course of a day? How often do they grow to fruition, yet I never notice? How often do I neglect to honour and collect the harvest in my life? October and November are the months of Thanksgiving in North America, what a lovely time to honour the work that has been put into the harvest and to enjoy the benefits of reaping that which we have sown.

  • November 25,2007. Doug Craig What’s In A Word

It is not as much what one says in life, the real meaning is conveyed through tone and the intention of the word and then it is acted upon by law. We need to be clear on what our intention is when we speak. Every time we think, speak or feel we are feeding data into the law of cause and effect that works through us. Let us be clear about the intention of our word as it will return to us ten fold, because it is what we are sowing.

  • December 22, 2007. Doug Horne Christmas, A Season of Love
  • December 29, 2007. Patty Shortreed This Year WILL Be Different

Regardless of whether we are consciously creating our experience or simply bumbling along, every year is different with fresh possibilities to create what you want. Consider this: “You don’t get what you want. You get who you are.” So, who are you going to be this year? What new identity will you claim in 2008?

  • January 6, 2008. Rev. Doug Craig Making a Batch of Great Experiences

Liking making great cookies, great experiences require a properly followed recipe with a few deviations for our own flair. Some of the keys ingredients that are important to remember are the additions, but more so, this recipe requires removals.Yes, the removals from our thinking and feeling. We must actively practice the removal of all our thoughts and feelings of bitterness, spite, rancor, hate, jealousy, pettiness and littleness. In fact, prepare to the leave the past where it belongs, in the past. This is a land of the living and life continually moves forward, but it is always experienced in the now.

  • January 13, 2008. Rev. Doug Craig Making a Batch of Great Experiences

The greatest gifts and rewards in life come from the simple acts of kindness we perform. Life unfolds according to law and law brings to us that which we sow. Sowing is incremental and cumulative and over time continually brings back to us that which we have unconditionally given. Make a practice of performing, daily, random acts of kindness. With this type of an attitude, eventually good things will begin to randomly occur in our lives.
